European Grumman Weekend
Leicester Aeroclub have kindly made their airfield available for the event (from Friday 5th July until Sunday 7th. Leicester is a busy and friendly GA airfield. The Aeroclub was originally formed in 1909 and is one of the oldest and best known in the UK
Getting There
For those interested in travelling from Europe, Leicester is a ‘Certificate of Agreement’ aerodrome and can accept direct incoming flights from the EU.

The event organisers are happy to help and provide advice to those travelling from overseas, unfamiliar with UK airspace and radio procedures but it is all very simple.
Friday
Arrival

Organisers at the airfield to assist

Arrive as you like, park up, pitch tent or check in at hotel.

Café open. Grab food and a drink, meet with other pilots

Ferry service to/from local hotel for those requiring it

BBQ/Pizza or restaurant for evening meal
Saturday
Fly-out to Sherburn (EGCJ)

Fly to Sherburn in Elmet airfield, departing Leicester 0930-1100

Lunch
-
Return to Leicester for the evening BBQ (weather permitting!) and refreshments.

Local Flying & Departure

Breakfast in café and/or depart as you wish
